Anaheim, CA – Last week swim brands from around the globe gathered at the Anaheim Convention Center to attend the Swim Collective, Jan 2020 to showcase their latest swim and resort collections to luxury retailers and buyers. It was Loop Swim’s first time participating at a swimwear trade show in the United States and the event was a great opportunity to make connections in the North American market and gain exposure for the brand. Our founders Heather Kaye and Itee Soni, were in attendance to represent the brand and share their values and their core mission to #ProtectWhatYouLove – our oceans, our environment and our skin.

Sustainability was on top of mind for all attendees as more brands were seen exploring sustainable methods throughout their production chain. Representing their customers’ needs, buyers were looking for eco-friendly brands that take action and adopt a more regenerative approach to designing products. They recognize and support their customers’ choice to vote with their wallet and find brands align with their personal values of environmental conservation.

Loop Swim has always made suits from REPREVETM recycled plastic bottles as a part of their mission to eliminate waste in their supply chain and now offer to recycle your suits at the end of their useful life contributing to the circular economic model. The brand embodies the thinking that “waste is just a resource in the wrong place”.

 

 

The year 2020 brings a selection of exciting new prints and styles that add a fresh take to the season. A feature of all suits going forward will be the Loop Blue lining signifying the brand’s commitment to our environment – blue oceans, blue skies!

A clear favorite at Swim Collective was the cropped rashie; a top featuring complete bust support and UPF 50+ cover to keep you secure and sun safe as you jump off cliffs, surf, paddle board or enjoy the sun deck. Like all Loop swimsuits, the style blocks out 98% of UVA and UVB rays and is offered in our latest prints Fish Bowl and Fruit Salad.

 

Another crowd favorite was the new Stacks prints in black and white and a geometric pattern that is both classic and unique. This fun new print can be had in a one piece, bikini set and our traditional full-length Sunseeker rash guard.

 

 

This season Loop introduced additions to their resort wear line-up offering poolside hats, tote bags, and beach coverups made from 100% organic cotton and featuring several new and classic Loop prints. The most exciting new offering, the flip-flops(!), featured in a longtime favorite Latte/Black Drops, were a huge hit. Itee and Heather were inspired by eco-conscious travelers who needed chic and sustainable accessories to accompany their Loop suits and provide long lasting, high quality additions to their vacation wardrobe.
